You can find stillness in the hidden corners of even the busiest city. A feeling of discovering a place that's just quietly waiting for you. This painting captures one of those exact moments, found just behind the Orpheum Theater in downtown LA. The afternoon light brought out the yellows and blues, clarified the layered structure of the buildings, and put a spotlight on the exposed ductwork.
